Arctander writes, of Petitgrain Bigarde: “of pleasant, fresh-floral, sweet odor, reminiscent of orange flowers, with a slightly wood-herbacious undertone, and very faint but sweet floral dry-out notes.” Emotionally, it’s a powerful oil, calming anxiety and panic, acting as an antidepressant. Physically, it tends to be a sedative, which agrees with its relaxing effect on the mind. Some authorities recommend it for treating rapid heartbeat, and for insomnia. I have also seen it used in recipes for deodorant blends. Petitgrain oil is an ingredient in our anti-anxiety blend, Reunité. Basically, Petitgrain may be used in any application for which one would use Neroli; at a lower cost. My CCAP instructor, when we were studying Petitgrain Bigarade in class, recommended it for “Monkey Mind”… you know, it’s three a.m. you have slept for a few hours and now your mind is just running, tomorrow’s todo list, next week’s crisis, all the things one’s mind can chatter on about at 3:00 am. My personal experience? Yes! Worked like a charm. SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life. Certificate of Analysis: Batch No. PA-B730021 Batch No. PA-B730022 Batch No. PA-B730023 Batch No. PA-B730024 Batch No. IT-29107 Batch No. IT-58700 Batch No. EG-59202 Blends Well With: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Geranium (I prefer the “green” geranium, rather than my Rose Geranium with it), Jasmine, Sandalwood, Ylangylang, and all Citrus Oils. Citrus aurantium L. ssp. amara engl, steam-distilled, organic, Egypt. (Neroli bigarade, Neroli Petitgrain) – Emotionally calms anxiety and panic – Relaxes the mind, “monkey mind” – Sedative for insomnia – Slows rapid heart rates

Documented

3 source documents archived

The downloaded source document is preserved with its content fingerprint, so later changes do not overwrite the evidence. Archiving alone does not establish its report type or quantitative validity.

Documented

Report linked from the product page

The supplier connects this product to the report. Confirm the batch on the bottle before applying these figures to a purchase.

Evidence gap

Original analytical report status needs confirmation

These source documents are saved, but their status as original laboratory reports is unconfirmed or they are publisher summaries. They remain outside historical anomaly conclusions.

Evidence gap

Chemical extraction needs review

Automatically extracted figures are visible for inspection. They are excluded from historical anomaly conclusions until the extraction is reviewed.

Evidence gap

Comparison context is incomplete

Missing or unconfirmed: plant part, origin, analysis method, exact analysis date, extraction method, batch. Unknown values are not assumed to match known values.

Evidence gap

Source extraction has review notes

The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.

Evidence gap

Numerical comparison is not supported for this report

The source extraction identifies mixed or multiple assays. A single comparable measurement series has not been established.

Investigate

Extracted percentages exceed 100%

The quantified total is 224.77%. Check for repeated peaks, mixed tables, or a transcription problem before using these values.

Evidence gap

Source extraction has review notes

Some source peak rows could not be fully verified or quantified. Multiple assay columns or mixed tables require separate review. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Some source peaks overlap or combine constituents; independent percentages may not be available. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.

Evidence gap

Numerical comparison is not supported for this report

The source describes the analysis as qualitative. Its listed figures remain visible, but are excluded from numerical historical anomaly conclusions.

Evidence gap

Source extraction has review notes

The source describes a qualitative GC/MS analysis; these figures are not validated mass fractions. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.

Evidence gap

Not enough comparable history to assess differences

A range requires at least three earlier, reviewed original reports with the same botanical, chemotype, origin, plant part, extraction, analysis method, percentage basis and storage context. Missing and trace values are never replaced with zero.
