Natural Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP) is isolated at over 90% by Dr. Robert Pappas of Essential Oil University by fractional distillation. It is the most common sesquiterpene in essential oils and occurs in significant percentages in things like copaiba (one of the highest at 50-60% typically), black pepper, ylang ylang, cananga, clove, melissa and other essential oils. Add it to a carrier oil or lotion and apply to your body. Learn more from EOU. Here's a review from Dr. Pappas: "So after a bicep workout yesterday I used the beta-caryophyllene diluted in fractionated coconut oil on my right arm that has plagued me with a bicep/forearm strain for years. Since this was also my return to working out after a couple months of laying off I knew that it would be especially sore and thought I'd give this a try because all the positive results people had messaged me about. The short of it is that I am simply amazed. I suppose one could argue that its just a coincidence but not only am I not feeling the pain of the strain in my arm but my right arm feels better than my left arm which was left untreated. This is unheard of for me! And my left arm has the usual day after pain and stiffness from a bicep workout that you get after laying off for a long time whereas the right arm doesn't even feel like I had a bicep workout the day before, AMAZING!" Directions: Recommended to properly blend in a carrier oil prior to topical applications. Patch test before use in case of sensitivity.
