Tasmanian aromatherapists say that Kunzea Oil is the most healing of the native Australian essential oils. This is the original Du Cane Kunzea™developed and grown by John Hood in Tasmania. It is approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Act for: Helps relieve nervous tension, stress and mild anxiety. Relief of the symptoms of influenza/flu. Relief of muscular aches and pains Temporary relief of the pain of rheumatism. [or] Temporary relief of rheumatic pain. Temporary relief of the pain of arthritis. (or) Temporary relief of arthritic pain. Aromatically Kunzea ambigua is initially “medicinal” in scent; the high levels of cineole and alpha-pinene are the first thing I was aware of. But it softens on dry-down to leave a subtly spicy note. The name “Tick Bush” comes from the habit of cattle and wild animals resting close to the tree because it seems to repel ticks. Will the essential oil have this effect? I don’t know. But it would certainly be worth trying. Kunzea Essential Oil has been tested and proven effective against staph, e-coli, and candida. Jeanne Rose states that the essential oil is analgesic and anti-inflammatory, useful for sports and injury relief. Topical application will diffuse bruising and reduce swelling and irritation, as well as relieving arthritis and muscular pain. She suggests that inhalation may relieve sinus pain and anxiety. Others use it as an insect repellant (for ticks, especially I would guess), a room deodorizer in a nursing home environment, for rapid repair of soft tissue injuries including strains, sprains, and bruises. Mark Webb quotes anecdotal feedback showing Kunzea Essential Oil is being used effectively in the treatment of: eczema, dermatitis, under nail infections and skin ulcers. He writes that it also eases the pain of insect bites, minor burns, recurring shingles and migraines. Robbi Zeck, in The Blossoming Heart, writes that Kunzea ambigua helps to defuse deep emotional pain that has been suppressed, that it assists in the release physical and emotional pain. Kunzea is said to blend well with all of the other Australian essential oils, especially with Rosalina and the lemon scented oils. For skin care use, it is delightful with Lavender. I would like to try it blended with Helichrysum italicuum for treating arthritis or other painful inflammatory conditions. Over the past year or two as we have experimented with us, Kunzea has become our “go to” oil for pain relief. It is the most important component of our That’s Better Blend. Safety: Robert Tisserand advises that there are no known hazards SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life. What the evidence tells you
3 reports connected; 3 directly linked by the supplier. Read the evidence before comparing chemistry.
3 source documents archived
The downloaded source document is preserved with its content fingerprint, so later changes do not overwrite the evidence. Archiving alone does not establish its report type or quantitative validity.
Report linked from the product page
The supplier connects this product to the report. Confirm the batch on the bottle before applying these figures to a purchase.
Original analytical report status needs confirmation
These source documents are saved, but their status as original laboratory reports is unconfirmed or they are publisher summaries. They remain outside historical anomaly conclusions.
Chemical extraction needs review
Automatically extracted figures are visible for inspection. They are excluded from historical anomaly conclusions until the extraction is reviewed.
Comparison context is incomplete
Missing or unconfirmed: plant part, extraction method, origin, analysis method, percentage basis, exact analysis date, batch. Unknown values are not assumed to match known values.
Source extraction has review notes
The percentage measurement basis requires confirmation. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Source extraction has review notes
Some source peak rows could not be fully verified or quantified. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Some source peaks overlap or combine constituents; independent percentages may not be available. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Source extraction has review notes
The percentage measurement basis requires confirmation. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Not enough comparable history to assess differences
A range requires at least three earlier, reviewed original reports with the same botanical, chemotype, origin, plant part, extraction, analysis method, percentage basis and storage context. Missing and trace values are never replaced with zero.
