This new and relatively unknown oil from high in the Himalayas is known for its grounding and centering effects. A wonderful addition to any meditation blend or to create a sacred space for worship or ritual. I think it would be useful to counter anxiety. I’m told that it can help quiet mental “chatter”…I’m planning on adding a drop to my Aromastone on the nights that my “to do list” insists on scrolling all night long. As a respiratory oil, Rhododendron is helpful in “drying up” a running nose…it is said to reduce mucous production as well as aid in inflammation and swelling in the sinus area. I have seen it recommended for Rheumatoid Arthritis, especially when blended with Indian Frankincense (Boswellia serrata), to reduce inflammation in muscles and joints. I’ve also seen it recommended in treating gout. I have also seen it recommended for support of the adrenals and of the liver. This is an exciting new oil with a wide range of positive effects. We look forward to hearing your experiences with it. Virginia Musacchio of StillPoint Studies writes, “This oil assists one in getting out of one’s own way. Helps connect us to our inner childlike joy and trust in the universe. We have found it to be very helpful to deal with and release emotional and mental pain as well as heal broken lifelines and to create reconciliation. This is a great essential oil to assist one in moving through loss and bereavement especially when used in combination with Melissa officinalis.” Reading the above, I can’t help wondering if a touch of Spikenard, for forgiveness and self-forgiveness, might not also be helpful in that blend. SHELF LIFE: Approximately 5+ years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life. What the evidence tells you
4 reports connected; 4 directly linked by the supplier. Read the evidence before comparing chemistry.
4 source documents archived
The downloaded source document is preserved with its content fingerprint, so later changes do not overwrite the evidence. Archiving alone does not establish its report type or quantitative validity.
Report linked from the product page
The supplier connects this product to the report. Confirm the batch on the bottle before applying these figures to a purchase.
Original analytical report status needs confirmation
These source documents are saved, but their status as original laboratory reports is unconfirmed or they are publisher summaries. They remain outside historical anomaly conclusions.
Chemical extraction needs review
Automatically extracted figures are visible for inspection. They are excluded from historical anomaly conclusions until the extraction is reviewed.
Comparison context is incomplete
Missing or unconfirmed: extraction method, origin, analysis method, percentage basis, exact analysis date, plant part, batch. Unknown values are not assumed to match known values.
Source extraction has review notes
The percentage measurement basis requires confirmation. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Source extraction has review notes
The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Numerical comparison is not supported for this report
The source describes the analysis as qualitative. Its listed figures remain visible, but are excluded from numerical historical anomaly conclusions.
Source extraction has review notes
Some source peak rows could not be fully verified or quantified. The source describes a qualitative GC/MS analysis; these figures are not validated mass fractions. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Source extraction has review notes
The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Not enough comparable history to assess differences
A range requires at least three earlier, reviewed original reports with the same botanical, chemotype, origin, plant part, extraction, analysis method, percentage basis and storage context. Missing and trace values are never replaced with zero.
