Finally, a “blue” oil with an aroma we can love! This product is NOT the high-thujone Tanacetum vulgare growing wild in the American Southwest (and elsewhere) and often warned against for use in aromatherapy. This ANNUAL tansy is a safe and mild anti-inflammatory with a delightfully fresh, honeyed apple scent. Professional aromatherapy educator Kurt Schnaubelt extols this magnificent deep indigo oil for its anti-histaminic/anti-allergen properties. He suggests using it (applied to the solar plexus) in blends for asthma or diffusing it in blends for emphysema…blending Pine, Cypress and just a touch of this lovely Tansy Oil. He recommends a blend of three drops Helichrysum and two drops Tanacetum annuum diluted in carrier oil for any situation where the skin has been damaged…sunburn, radiation, etc. (This was the combination a friend used in a spray to recover from the effects of radiation treatments.) Aromatherapist/herbalist Jeanne Rose states that Blue Tansy essential oil is a natural source of theophylline, a bronchodilator, which would explain its being recommended for difficult breathing. And many sources write of the link between childhood asthma and adult eczema and other dermatitis conditions. This delightfully sweet-scented oil with its high azulene content would be a wonderful alternative to German Chamomile or Yarrow in skin care blends. For irritated skin, try blending it with Helichrysum. Please use in weak dilutions, it is more effective at levels (under 5%) than in stronger dilutions. SHELF LIFE: Approximately 3 to 4 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life. For more information about the use of Blue Tansy to combat seasonal allergies please see the following blog articles: “ Allergy Laden? Try Blue Tansy ” “ Diffusing for Chronic or Seasonal Allergies ” “ Blue Tansy and Asthma ” Certificate of Analysis: 2013 Batch No. MO-B887028 Batch No. MO-B887029 Batch No. MO-21801 Batch No. MA-59349 (Current Batch) Tanacetum annuum, organically produced, steam-distilled flowers, Morocco. delightfully fresh, honeyed apple scent anti-histamine, anti-allergen properties blend with Helichrysum for skin damage Also sold in a pre-made inhaler

Evidence gap

Original analytical report status needs confirmation

These source documents are saved, but their status as original laboratory reports is unconfirmed or they are publisher summaries. They remain outside historical anomaly conclusions.

Evidence gap

Chemical extraction needs review

Automatically extracted figures are visible for inspection. They are excluded from historical anomaly conclusions until the extraction is reviewed.

Evidence gap

Comparison context is incomplete

Missing or unconfirmed: plant part, extraction method, origin, analysis method, batch, exact analysis date. Unknown values are not assumed to match known values.

Evidence gap

Numerical comparison is not supported for this report

The source describes the analysis as qualitative. Its listed figures remain visible, but are excluded from numerical historical anomaly conclusions.

Evidence gap

Repeated constituent identity needs checking

More than one extracted row identifies the same constituent. Its percentage is withheld from the comparison until the source rows are resolved.

Evidence gap

Source extraction has review notes

The source describes a qualitative GC/MS analysis; these figures are not validated mass fractions. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.

Evidence gap

Numerical comparison is not supported for this report

The source extraction identifies mixed or multiple assays. A single comparable measurement series has not been established.

Evidence gap

Repeated constituent identity needs checking

More than one extracted row identifies the same constituent. Its percentage is withheld from the comparison until the source rows are resolved.

Investigate

Extracted percentages exceed 100%

The quantified total is 149.40%. Check for repeated peaks, mixed tables, or a transcription problem before using these values.

Evidence gap

Source extraction has review notes

Some source peak rows could not be fully verified or quantified. Multiple assay columns or mixed tables require separate review. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Some source peaks overlap or combine constituents; independent percentages may not be available. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.

Evidence gap

Not enough comparable history to assess differences

A range requires at least three earlier, reviewed original reports with the same botanical, chemotype, origin, plant part, extraction, analysis method, percentage basis and storage context. Missing and trace values are never replaced with zero.
