As I have said elsewhere, in our experience the CO2 extracts are closer to the aroma of the raw botanical than are the distilled oils. This Indian Frankincense Oil is a lovely aromatic specimen. We have been asked about the boswellic acid content of our Frankincense CO2 extracts, since it is a well known fact that boswellic acid does not come through the process of distillation. Unfortunately, although the Boswellia serrata resin itself does contain boswellic acid, the CO2 extract contains less than 1%. Its contents are 80–85 % monoterpenes, alpha-thujene, alpha-pinene, sabinene, myrcene, p-cymene, limonene etc., sesquiterpenes, terpene alcohols and esters (incensol acetate) and less than 0.1 % boswellic acid. For topical use, we recommend following standard essential oil dilution recommendations. Safety: No contraindications. Avoid oxidation. SHELF LIFE: Approximately 2 to 3 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life. Certificate of Analysis: 2012 Batch No. IN-751222 Batch No. GE-671113 Batch No. DE-59294 (Current Batch) Boswellia serrata, wildcrafted in India, CO2 Select, extracted in Germany. – strong anti-inflammatory

What’s inside this oil?
Constituents are the natural chemicals that give an oil its character. See the main ones, learn what they do, and explore differences between batches.
We need a measured report for this bottle.
No usable, product-linked composition report is available here. A general oil profile cannot tell us the percentages in this bottle.

Notes on the captured information
Details to keep in mind when using this listing.
- Product name is a browsing group; botanical identity must be verified before chemical comparison.
What the evidence tells you
4 supplier report links found. Product details are available at the source; batch chemistry has not been established.
Current product batch is not verified
Supplier report links were found. Their product and batch details are available at the source; quantified chemistry is not yet connected to this product.
Not enough comparable history to assess differences
A range requires at least three earlier, reviewed original reports with the same botanical, chemotype, origin, plant part, extraction, analysis method, percentage basis and storage context. Missing and trace values are never replaced with zero.
