Melissa essential oil has a strong, fresh, herbal aroma with lemony notes—which explains its other name, “lemon balm.” Melissa oil is deeply comforting, especially during times of heartbreak or loss. Since ancient times, melissa has also been used to comfort and restore the body. Use it to soothe urgent skin issues, and in topical blends to reduce germs or fungi. Our certified organic melissa essential oil is steam distilled from the bright green, mint-like leaves of herbs nurtured in the Bulgarian countryside. The word “melissa” means “honey-bee”—bees love the plants!
