This new distillation will age beautifully. First inhalation impressions are of an oil on its way to becoming a deep and dark version of Patchouli oil. As it ages it can only improve, so I would suggest buying some to store for a few years. Patchouli, oil of the 60’s is an effective anti-inflammatory for the skin, helpful in healing cracked or inflamed skin, acne, dermatitis, and eczema. It is said to tone and tighten the skin, and is used in many anti wrinkle blends. At the same time it helps regulate oily skin and dandruff. Some authorities say it is useful in appetite suppressant blends and, with its skin toning qualities, in combating cellulite. Patchouli oil truly stars as an excellent base note for perfume blends, and is generally considered an aphrodisiac. In small quantities it has a mildly sedative effect, while in large quantities it may be stimulating. BLENDS WITH: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender, Myrrh, the sweeter Citrus Oils, Nutmeg and Cinnamon Leaf, as well as other base notes— Sandalwood, Rosewood, etc. SHELF LIFE: Approximately 5 to 8 years after you open the bottle. Storing in the dark, refrigerated, and decanting half full bottles into smaller, full bottles will extend shelf life. (This is the official estimate. Experience shows that with proper storage it could be much longer.) Please keep in mind that Patchouli is very thick and may have a hard time coming out of the orifice reducers in the bottles. You’ll most likely need to take the orifice reducer out and pipette the Patchouli out. Be sure to replace the orifice reducer, as it is what creates a seal between the bottle and top. GC/MS Batch #IN-58599 Batch #IN58748 Pogostemon patchouli, wildcrafted, steam-distilled leaves, India. – Anti-inflammatory for skin – Helps regulate oily skin and dandruff – Base note for perfume blends

What the evidence tells you
2 reports connected; 2 directly linked by the supplier. Read the evidence before comparing chemistry.
2 source documents archived
The downloaded source document is preserved with its content fingerprint, so later changes do not overwrite the evidence. Archiving alone does not establish its report type or quantitative validity.
Report linked from the product page
The supplier connects this product to the report. Confirm the batch on the bottle before applying these figures to a purchase.
Original analytical report status needs confirmation
These source documents are saved, but their status as original laboratory reports is unconfirmed or they are publisher summaries. They remain outside historical anomaly conclusions.
Chemical extraction needs review
Automatically extracted figures are visible for inspection. They are excluded from historical anomaly conclusions until the extraction is reviewed.
Comparison context is incomplete
Missing or unconfirmed: plant part, extraction method, origin, analysis method, batch, exact analysis date. Unknown values are not assumed to match known values.
Numerical comparison is not supported for this report
The source extraction identifies mixed or multiple assays. A single comparable measurement series has not been established.
Extracted percentages exceed 100%
The quantified total is 187.97%. Check for repeated peaks, mixed tables, or a transcription problem before using these values.
Source extraction has review notes
Multiple assay columns or mixed tables require separate review. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Numerical comparison is not supported for this report
The source extraction identifies mixed or multiple assays. A single comparable measurement series has not been established.
Repeated constituent identity needs checking
More than one extracted row identifies the same constituent. Its percentage is withheld from the comparison until the source rows are resolved.
Extracted percentages exceed 100%
The quantified total is 286.79%. Check for repeated peaks, mixed tables, or a transcription problem before using these values.
Source extraction has review notes
Some source peak rows could not be fully verified or quantified. Multiple assay columns or mixed tables require separate review. The source includes reproduction restrictions; the archived original remains private. Additional source extraction notes require review against the original document.
Not enough comparable history to assess differences
A range requires at least three earlier, reviewed original reports with the same botanical, chemotype, origin, plant part, extraction, analysis method, percentage basis and storage context. Missing and trace values are never replaced with zero.
