Product Details Scientific Name: Jasminum Grandiflorum Origin: India Plant Part: Flowers Scent: Deep, Rich, Floral and Exotic Color: Deep Brown with a Golden Tinge Consistency: Medium Perfumery Note: Middle Initial Aroma Strength: Strong Extraction Method: Solvent Extracted Jasmine Grandiflorum Oil: Uses, Benefits, and Blends The fragrance of the Orient is deep, narcotic, and entrancing; perhaps India, where we source VINEVIDA Jasmine Grandiflorum Oil, holds the folklore that reveals her the best.  An old tale tells how there was once a king whose laugh scattered jasmine flowers wherever he walked, and indeed a Sanskrit saying that goes “Where there is Jasmine, there can be no worries.” Jasmine, derived from the Arabic name Yasmin, meaning “Gift from God”, G randiflorum , the greatest and most magnificent of all the  flowers. At  VINEVIDA , it gives us great delight to present you with our glorious, pure Jasmine Grandiflorum Oil. To clarify, Jasmine Grandiflorum Oil is not an essential oil. It is an absolute obtained through solvent extraction from tiny white plants, too fragile to give up their volatiles in distillation. Jasmine Essential Oil Benefits: Component Breakdown Benzyl acetate – This is the component that imparts some of the floral attributes to the fragrance. Breathe it and see if you can sense its apple-like contribution. Benzyl benzoate – Also found in Cinnamon and Ylang Ylang fragrances, this has a sense of warmth to it. Phytol- adds a grassiness to the aroma. Squalene & Squalene 2,3-oxide- Squalenes are very fatty molecules that can help to hydrate and add suppleness to tissues. Isophytol – Has a floral, herby-green aroma, and is a precursor to vitamin K. Phytyl acetate – Has a waxy, almost nutty fragrance. Linalool - A component appearing in many essential oils, clinical trials demonstrate linalool to have anti-inflammatory and anti-depressive properties. Geranyl linalool - Adds a warm rosiness to the fragrance. Indole, (Z)-Jasmone - Creates the trademark headiness and languor of Jasmine Grandiflorum. Estragole - Copiously available in many essential oils, estragole has powerful antioxidant and antimicrobial effects. It has been demonstrated to be anxiolytic and anti-inflammatory and can alleviate sciatica in rodent models. It seems likely most of the estragole’s action arises from its ability to calm excitement in the sodium channels of cells. However, there are concerns that estragole may also have carcinogenic properties and thus should only be used in small dilutions. Initially, when an absolute is made from Jasmine Grandiflorum, a rich concrete is first created, then it is processed into an absolute. As a night-time blossom, blooms need to be picked early in the morning before the sunrise steals the narcotic indole from the flowers.  Chemistry in the plant changes rapidly after picking, indole and benzyl acetate fall dramatically, whereas linalool, so well respected for its anti-inflammatory and anti-depressant properties, i
